Technical Services Invests in Vehicle Electrification Testing

As Technical Services celebrates its 40th year, the company is expanding its production and investing in next-generation vehicle electrification testing capabilities to meet the growing needs of the sector. The company works across the full spectrum of vehicle electrification, from commercial EVs to hybrid vehicles and off-highway machinery and applications.

With battery technology placing increasing demand on the performance and efficiency of cooling loops and thermal management systems, Technical Services is investing in dedicated testing facilities to validate and generate robust system data for OEMs.

Significant investment in facilities includes the provision of a wind tunnel, three climatic test chambers and a viscous drive test facility. These upgrades prioritise end-of-line testing for active cooling systems, battery thermal management units and system-level solutions for OEMs operating in the electrification space.

This expansion supports customers at every stage of the transition and development of electrified systems under one roof. Andrew McMahon, Sales and Engineering Director at Technical Services, said:

“Our facilities support both legacy diesel engine customers and those who are transitioning or already building electric applications. The electrification side of the business is experiencing exponential growth, so we are restructuring our facilities, to meet the needs of OEMs and in doing so future-proofing our business as electrification continues to advance.”

Alongside upgrades to the testing facility, Technical Services has expanded its office space to accommodate a growing engineering department and increased its warehousing and distribution capacity, supporting its wider growth.
