The EMP Fil-11 Electric Fan is a high performing and robust cooling component which
optimises temperature control, improves fuel economy, features an advanced integrated
controller and is extremely reliable in harsh field conditions, making it ideal for a whole host of
vehicles, machines and applications.
SAE J1308 Compliant Finger Guards
Optional finger guard protection available that conforms to SAE J1308 requirements while minimizing airflow losses.
Variable Speed
EMP fans can be run at any speed between the programmed minimum and maximum speed to minimize power consumption and noise. Variable speed also allows for accurate control of airflow and temperature optimization in cooling systems.
Reversible
EMP fans are fully reversible for debris removal and heat exchanger clean out. The fans can be reversed using the PWM input or they can be configured to reverse automatically at ignition on or at a timed interval. Fan reversal has been field proven in severe environments like forestry and stationary power generation to reduce or even eliminate the need for manual heat exchanger cleaning.
12 or 24 VDC Brushless Motor
Brushless, permanent magnet motors are combined with EMP designed motor control electronics to provide a high efficiency, long life fan. Brushless motors have no contacting parts to wear and reduce life. Features include locked rotor protection, over temperature protection, over current protection, over voltage protection and reverse battery protection.
Rugged Design
EMP fans feature die cast aluminium castings for strength, durability and improved heat transfer from the motor and electronics. This allows EMP fans to provide continuous, high output airflow performance in extreme temperature conditions. The fan blades and optional finger guard are made of high temperature, glass filled polymers to perform in harshest environments.
