The EMP OP3530 Electric Oil Pump is a high performing and reliable cooling component with a large operating range and efficiencies making it suitable for a wide range of vehicles and applications.
Sealed and Fully Submersible
EMP pumps are sealed and fully submersible for long life operation when exposed to the outside environment and its elements. The pumps are designed and have been validated to withstand submersion and direct spray pressure wash.
Service Tool Available
EMP pumps can be controlled manually using EMPower Connect™ Service Tool which means software be changed or upgraded in the field. Historical data can be downloaded and includes hours of operation, temperature data etc.
Fully Controllable or On/Off Single Speed
EMP pumps can be run at any speed between the programmed minimum and maximum speed to minimize power consumption and noise. Variable speed can be achieved through a PWM input by varying the duty cycle of the signal. In the absence of a PWM signal the pump will run in a pre-programmed default speed and operate in an on/off manner. EMP’s TMC system controller can also be used to add pressure feedback capability or control for multiple pump systems.
Brushless DC Motor and Drive Controller Technology
Available with 12 VDC and 24 VDC electric motors, brushless, permanent magnet motors are combined with EMP designed motor control electronics to provide a high efficiency, long life pump. Brushless motors have no contacting parts to wear and reduce life. Features include locked rotor protection, over temperature protection, over current protection, over voltage protection and reverse battery protection.

As a member of the EMP Smartflow line of electric oil pumps, the OP3530 is a positive displacement gear pump featuring a brushless DC motor and integrated motor drive controller. This pump also features 2 pumping stages, equipped with both a scavenge stage and a feeder (pressure) stage. With flow capacities up to 3.5 US gpm (13.2 lpm) and 3.0 US gpm (11.4 lpm) for the scavenge and feeder sections respectively, this pump can be used in a dry sump arrangement. The pump was designed to work with most light to medium weight oils including motor oil, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluids and some gear lubes.
