Electric Oil Pumps for Commercial Vehicles
Electric Oil Pumps for Electrified Buses, Trucks and other Commercial Fleets
High performing oil pumps for commercial vehicles move the fluid at a high viscosity due to low oil temperatures and delivers the required flow rate at lower viscosities with higher temperatures. Having software control over the speed of the pump is vital in the management of these wide temperature extremes. We recommend using smart pumps with modern CAN comms for demanding applications.
How to choose the right electric oil pump
Automotive electric oil pumps are typically gear pumps which provide a linear relationship between pump speed and volumetric flow rate. However, the selection process must start with the fluid, its temperature and the required flow rate and pressure.
It is important to remember gear pumps produce a lower flow rate than centrifugal pumps. Therefore, higher pressures in a cold start scenario should be considered as the gear pump may fall short when maximum flow rate is required.
We will ensure your components and thermal management system are both prepared for every temperature extreme. Our team will also ensure additional safety requirements are met for oil systems.

ELECTRIC OIL PUMPS
EMP OP3530 Electric Oil Pump
The EMP OP3530 Brushless Electric Oil Pump is a 2-stage positive displacement gear pump equipped with both scavenge and feeder sections. The pump can be used in a dry sump arrangement and is designed for use with most light to medium weight oils.
ELECTRIC OIL PUMPS
EMP OP80 Electric Oil Pump
With a flow capacity up to 8 gal/min and discharge pressures up to 80 psi the EMP OP80 Brushless Electric Oil Pump can handle a variety of fluid transfer applications including those for use with motor oil, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluids and gear lubes.
ELECTRIC OIL PUMPS
EMP OPC Cartridge Electric Oil Pump
The EMP SmartFlow brushless electric oil pump is now available in a cartridge style. This allows for the same premium performance of the OP40 and OP80 oil pumps, but in a smaller, lighter profile without any of the added fittings or housing of a traditional externally mounted pump.
